WORDS DETERMINE WHAT YOU BELIEVE
The Process Of Faith (Part 1)
Foundation Statement: The first step in the process of faith is that you have to spend time hearing the right words. The Words that you are spending time listening to are determining what you believe and what you believe is determining your life. Change what you're hearing and you will change your life.
Foundation Scripture: Romans 10:17, Proverbs 4:20
I. All victory all prosperity starts with the Word of God because faith, which is the victory comes by hearing the word (Romans 10:17, 1 John 5:4)
A. You have to find the Word of God on what you're believing for
1. You have to spend time in that word to change what you believe
2. Hearing the Word of God will take place where you believe that you have received
B. Your life today is a sum total of the words that you spend time listening to (Proverbs 4:20)
1. The words you are hearing are either producing unbelief which is defeat or faith which is the victory
II. The most powerful weapon that Satan has is to get you to spend time listening to the wrong words
A. The first step to defeat an area of your life is to spend time listening to words that are in opposition to the Word of God
1. Unbelief comes by hearing and hearing by the words of Satan
a. Unbelief will keep you from your inheritance
b. Unbelief is the defeat that is overcome by the world
2. Satan has to keep you out of that Bible because he knows that if you spend time listening to God's word that's the foundation to his defeat
B. The children of Israel listened to the wrong words and it produced a belief/image in their hearts that they couldn't go in and possess the land (Numbers 13:2,25-33)
1. Who told them they couldn't go in and possess the land? The walls said it, size of the giants said it, and the people that were dwelling in the land said it.
a. That was referred to as an evil report
2. God said that he would drive the people out of the land that he had given to the children of Israel and they would possess it (Exodus 33:1-3, 34:10-11)
3. The basis for what you believe shouldn't come from see with your physical eye, the basis for you believe should come from what you see in God's word
a. They based what they believed off of the evil report (the circumstances and situations) instead of basing what they believed off of God's report and because it they couldn't possess something that had already been given to them
b. Who told you that? Where is that report coming from? Because if what you hearing is in opposition to what God's saying, then you need to believe what God's saying in spite of what you're hearing.
C. As believers we cannot spend time listening to the wrong words because they will produce a belief in our heart that is in opposition to the Word of God and keep us from seeing the manifestation of that Word in our lives
1. Unbelief will keep you from the manifestation of God's word in your life (Hebrews 3:19)

III. If your faith is going to produce in your life, then come hell or high-water we have to give our thoughts and our attention to the word of God. (Proverbs 4:20)
A. Ultimately, the words that you attend to will determine whether you walk in victory and receive the manifestation of the promise or walk in defeat and never see the manifestation of God's word.
1. Hebrews 3:12 - Take heed that you don't have an evil heart of unbelief
B. You have to make an on-purpose-conscious-decision when the evil report is staring you in the face that you are going to attend to the word of God

a. The reason you haven't been able to walk in prosperity is because you've been spending time listening to words that are keeping you in poverty
2. EXAMPLE: You say, "I see the poverty, but I'm attending to he took my poverty and gave me his prosperity, I see the sickness, but I'm attending to by his stripes I'm healed, I see the debt, but I'm attending to I'm the lender, not the borrower and I owe no man nothing but to love him."
C. How to attend to God's word? (Proverbs 4:20-24)
1. You give your thoughts and attention to the word of God by looking at them, hearing them, and saying them.
2. When you are attending to the Word of God by looking at them, hearing them, and saying them, they will take root in your heart and produce an image or belief.

A. Satan comes after the word
1. Mark 4:15 - When you start sowing the word, know this that Satan is going to do something to try to steal that word that you have been sowing so that you'll attend to something else
