RESETTING THE BOUNDARY OF YOUR BELIEF

The Process Of Faith (Part 4)

FOUNDATION STATEMENT:  Satan’s purpose in the life of a believer is to establish a belief in you that is in opposition to the Word of God, because he knows that unbelief will keep you from your inheritance.  As a believer you have to root out all images of unbelief and then reset your image/belief to line up with the Word of God.

Foundation Scripture: Matthew 15:13, Matthew 12:33

I. Unbelief has been keeping your from your inheritance and from the manifestation of

God’s Word in your life.  (Matthew 13:53)

    A. Unbelief is believing something that God did not say

         1. Unbelief is: God said you are healed and you believe someday you’re going to be

             healed.

    B. Every belief in you that is not in line with the Word of God has to be rooted out

         (Matthew 15:13)

        1. Matthew 12:33-37 – There’s a tree/image/belief inside of you that is producing

            your life

            a. Every tree in you that God didn’t plant, we’ve got to root it up so that we can get

               you into your inheritance

    C. For you to see the manifestation of God’s Word in your life, you have to get to a

place where you see yourself with the manifestation of what God said, before it has

         shown up.

         1. Mark 11:24 – You have to believe that you receive in order to receive

         2. Proverbs 23:7 – You have to see yourself with it

         3. We’re going to root up that old image of unbelief in you and plant a new

belief/image/tree in your heart where you see yourself in line with the Word of God

and you believe that you are everything the Word says you are and you have

everything the Word says you have

II. The fact of the matter is if we are going to get you to have a new

image/tree/belief then you have to sow a different word seed.

A. Words are seeds that produce trees/images/and beliefs in your heart

1. Every word that you hear has the potential to take root in your heart and manifest in your life if you spend time meditating on that word

B. The Word of God is the seed that we are going to plant in your heart to produce a new belief./tree/image

1. EXAMPLE: You’ve been listening to your paycheck, your bills, and your check book and those words have planted an image of not enough on the inside of you.  We are going to sow God’s Word on financial prosperity and root that image up.

III. The process of transforming your belief and rooting out unbelief

A. The process of  rooting out unbelief starts with meditating on the Word of God (Proverbs 4:20)

1. Mediation – to utter a sound, the act of thoughtful deliberation with the implication of speaking to oneself, to speak, to imagine, to talk

a. Joshua 1:8

2. I attend to the Word not to the evil report

a. Give your thoughts and your attention to the Word of God only and spend no time thinking about the evil report (Your job is to make the tree good)

b. Don’t sit there with Satan and think about all the reasons why it can’t happen; attend to the Word

3. I give my attention to the Word of God by seeing it, hearing it, and saying it

a. I don’t look at, hear, say, or spend time with anything that opposes the Word of God because I am only attending to the Word of God

4. I keep the Word in my heart by attending to it, through seeing it, hearing it, and saying it

a. The eyes, the ears, and the mouth are the gateway to the mind and the mind is the entry way into the heart

b. What you give your thoughts to long enough will eventually take root in your heart

5. Above all keeping, I guard my heart from words that will produce an image or belief or tree that is in opposition to God’s Word

a. Romans 10:17 – Faith comes or a new belief comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God

b. So I do all my hearing by the Word of God and anything that goes against that Word of God, I cast it down with my words

i. 2 Corinthians 10:5

6. You keep your heart by putting a froward mouth

7. 1 Samuel 17:16,23-27,32-37,45-48

a. For 40 days and 40 nights Goliath would walk through that valley trying to pick a fight with the men of Israel, and my guess is for 40 days and 40 nights the men of Israel talked about how big the giant was and how there is no way that any man in their army could defeat him – THEY ARE ATTENDING TO THE EVIL REPORT and it produced unbelief

b. David hadn’t been up there attending to the evil report.  He had been in the fields shepherding those sheep, exercising his covenant, and spending time with God. – HE ATTENDED TO THE WORD OF GOD AND IT PRODUCED FAITH

c. 33-Saul tried to impart his image of unbelief into David through his words

d.  In all that talk David didn’t one time mention the size of Goliath; the only thing he mentioned was about Goliath was that he didn’t have a covenant with God; in David’s eyes he was bigger than Goliath because God was with him

B. Meditation brings revelation (John 8:32-33)

1. It’s the act of continuing (meditating) that will transform this Word from word to truth

a. It started off as God’s Word, but when a person continues in it, it then becomes truth

2. Revelation – Something that has been veiled or hidden for a long time and then suddenly, almost instantaneously becomes clear and visible to the mind or eye

a. It’s like pulling the curtains out of the way so you can see what has always been just outside your window.  The scene was always there for you to enjoy, but the curtains blocked your ability to see the real picture.

b. Before revelation came you saw yourself as broke, but when revelation came something was uncovered and now you see yourself as rich

3. As you give yourself to the Word through meditation, it shuts down the flesh and the carnal way of thinking and opens up the line of communication for the Spirit of God to speak to you.

4. Revelation will change from flaky to a rock

a. In other words I’m solid like a rock on this and I’m not coming off of it

C. Revelation of the Word of God will cause a revolution in your thoughts, words, and actions

1. Your thoughts, your words, and your actions are being determined by what you believe to be the truth or the image that you have

a. Matthew 12:34 – Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks

b. EXAMPLE: If you believe you’re sick, you talk sick, think sick and act sick because your words and thoughts and actions are merely the outflow of what you believe.

 2.  Matthew 8:27, Matthews 16:16 – Peter started off with what manner of man is this, but when revelation came, he said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

  3. Revelation knowledge is knowledge that the gates of hell can’t prevail against

a. Hell has no answer for a person who just refuses to think, talk, or act like God’s Word is not true

D. A revolution in thought, a revolution in word, and a revolution in action that lines up with the Word of God will always bring about the manifestation of that Word in your life

1. When you think, talk, and act like you have it when you can’t see it, that’s when it will transfer to the realm where you can see it because that’s when we know that you have believed that you receive

a. That’s believing that you receive

2. We’ve failed in the transfer because we continue to think, talk, and act like we aren’t what God says we are

a. We continue to think, talk, and act like we aren’t what God says we are because we’ve failed to properly sow that Word in our hearts through mediation

E. Meditation brings Revelation, Revelation causes a Revolution, and a Revolution will always bring about Manifestation

IV. Believing that your receive

A. Your thoughts, your words, and your actions reveal what you believe and they are the bridge of faith that will connect the unseen with the seen

1. We’ve failed in the transfer because we continue to think, talk, and act like we aren’t what God says we are

2. Believing that you receive is thinking, talking, and acting like you already have what you cannot see with the physical eye

B. The way that you see yourself is determining how you think, how you talk, and how you act

1. We continue to think, talk, and act like we aren’t what God says we are because we are still operating under that old image

             2. You talk in line with your image, think in line with your image, and act in line with

                  your image

 3. We have to get to a place where we see ourselves the way God see us and live through that reality

C. Satan wants to keep you operating under that old image and seeing yourself in a way that opposes the Word of God

1. Satan’s number one objective is to get you to act like God’s Word is not true and he does that by distorting your view

a. He wants you to see yourself in a way that does not line up with the Word of God so that you will think like that Word is not true, talk like that Word is not true, and act like God’s Word is not true

 D. Your words, thoughts, and actions reveal the level of your faith

1. The way you talk, think, and act will tell us what you believe and what you believe will determine what you receive

            2. When your words, thoughts, and actions line up with the Word of God they will

become the bridge of faith that will connect the unseen to the seen so that the

manifestation of the unseen can show up in the seen

  E. Faith is thinking, talking, and living like God’s Word is true even when you can’t see it in the physical realm
