FOUNDATION
STATEMENT: 1 John 5:4
– Faith is the victory that will overcome the world’s system and any
situation or circumstance in the world. Faith is the tool that believers use to
override natural and produce a result that the world can’t produce. Use your victory – faith – that comes from God to
overcome anytime, all the time, every time
I. As believers we need to be living in the
world, but above the system that the world operates on and faith will allow us
to do that
A. Faith
is the victory the overpowers the world’s system and enables the believer to
get a result that the world can’t get
1. Faith
allows the believer to override (overpower) natural law
a. EXAMPLE:
Natural law says you can’t live debt-free if you’re salary is $40,000 dollars a
year. Natural law says you can’t
be healed if the doctors don’t have a cure.
b. Where
the world says you can’t faith will overpower that
2. Faith
is the victory and you can’t win apart from faith
a. You
can’t separate faith from the victory anymore than you can separate the wet
from the water.
B. “For whatsoever is born of God overpowers
the world’s system” – As believers we should be
getting a result that the world can’t get
1. We
should be healed when they’re sick, prosperous when they are broke, winning
when they’re losing and living when they are dying
2. We
aren’t limited to have what the world says that we can have
C. Faith
will enable us to overcome in a situation or circumstance that the world can’t
overcome and it will enable us to get a result that the world can’t get.
1. Faith
enables you to operate on a higher system of operation that the world can’t
operate and that higher system will produce a result that world can’t produce
2. EXAMPLE:
In a situation where somebody who is not living by faith would die of sickness,
faith will allow you to overcome the
sickness and walk in healing. In a
situation where somebody who is not living by faith would live in debt and in
lack, faith will allow you to
overcome the debt and lack and be abundantly supplied. In a situation where somebody who is
not living by faith would be defeated, faith will allow you to overcome and walk in victory.
D. People
who don’t live by faith are under the bondage of the world’s system and they are
limited to what natural law says they can have
1. Faith
is the avenue through which natural law can be overridden, but without faith
you’re going to get the same result that the world’s been getting
2. Christians
who don’t live by faith are a dangerous thing in the world
II. A person who lives by faith can prosper,
succeed, and be victorious in a time where the world can’t prosper, can’t
succeed, and cannot be victorious
A. Jeremiah
17:7-8 – Natural law says that this tree shouldn’t be able to produce
fruit, but it’s producing fruit anyway by faith
1. This
tree is operating on a level where it is unaffected by the circumstances around
it
2. This
tree is not being overcome by its circumstances, but it is overcoming it’s
circumstances
3. People
who live by faith stick out like a sore thumb because everybody else around
them will be walking in defeat, poverty, and sickness, but the person who lives
by faith will be operating in victory, prosperity, and health under the same
conditions
a. Psalm
91:5-11
B. The
person of faith should overcome the world, live above the situations in the
world, and be unaffected by circumstances of the world
1. It
doesn’t matter what it looks like around you right now, you can bear the fruit
of God’s word in the middle of that if you’ll live by faith
C. The
person of faith can get a result at a time that when natural law says they
shouldn’t be able to get that result because a person of faith overcomes the
world’s system
1. EXAMPLE:
It doesn’t matter how much you owe, you can bear the fruit of debt freedom
right in the middle of that. It
doesn’t matter what you’re salary is right now you can be a millionaire right
in the middle of that. It doesn’t
matter what sickness is attacking your body you can be healed in the middle of
that.
2. EXAMPLE:
In your situation people who don’t live by faith would die, but you live, in
your situation people who don’t live by faith would be in debt, but you are
free from debt, in your situation people who don’t live by faith would be
middle class, but you’re a millionaire
III.Faith is the difference maker. It’s the difference in winning and losing, sickness and
health, poverty and prosperity, and living and dying.
A. Luke
6:46-49 – Faith: The difference maker
1. The
same storm came and hit both of these guys houses, but one house stood and one
house fell
a. They
guy who lived by faith was able to rise above the storm and get a result that
the guy who didn’t live by faith couldn’t get
b. In
the same situation, in the same world, one gets healed and one dies of sickness,
one prospers and one lives in poverty, one has abundance and one lives in lack,
one wins and one loses, one lives and one dies and the difference is always
faith.
2. It’s
not the circumstances outside that’s stopping you it’s the faith in your heart
a. Numbers
13, Hebrews 3:19 – The children of Israel the giants and the walls were
keeping them out of the promise land, but it was their unbelief
b. It’s
not that the problem is too big, but that your faith it too small
c. EXAMPLE:
It’s not the sickness on your body that’s keeping you sick. It’s not your
salary that’s keeping your broke. It’s not the lack of money that’s keeping you
in debt. Because faith is the
victory that overcomes the world and anything in it.
B. 1
Samuel 17: 24 – David was able to get a result that not one man in the
whole army of Israel wasn’t able to get
1. David
was not more qualified than them in the natural. David didn’t have some weapon that they didn’t have. David wasn’t stronger than them in the
natural. David didn’t have some promise from God that they didn’t have.
2. The
thing enabled David to get a result that they couldn’t get was he believed God
and God’s promise and they didn’t: Faith made the difference
a. They
couldn’t do what David could do because they didn’t believe
3. Faith
took David to a higher level and enabled to get a result the world around him
couldn’t get
a. Faith
caused David to live and win, when according to the circumstances he should
have lost and died.
C. Abraham
produced a child when natural law says you can’t produce a child (Romans
4:16-21)
1. His
body was dead as was Sarah’s womb; natural law says you can’t have a child
2. People
of faith never consider natural law, because they are possessed by the promise
D. Natural
law says when you get thrown into the fire you burn up and die, but these three
guys overrode that by faith (Daniel 3)
1. Faith
was talking – They didn’t say God might
E. When
faith is withdrawn natural laws ceases to be overridden, and the result of the
world begins to be produced (Matthew 14:24)
IV.Your life is not the way that it is because of the circumstances
outside, your life is the way it is because of your faith or lack there of in
your heart
A. Mark
9:23 – Faith or the lack thereof is the force that qualifies a thing as
possible or impossible
1. If
you can believe, faith will make the “impossible” possible
a. What
you can or cannot do right now is not based on your ability as a person, it’s
based on your ability to believe
2. This
scripture didn’t say if the circumstances were right, it said if you can
believe because the circumstances can be wrong, but if you can believe faith
will make them right
B. Proverbs
4:23 – The issues of your life are coming from your heart
1. They
are coming from the inside out
C. EXAMPLE:
1. It’s
not that the amount of money is too big, but that your faith is too small
2. It’s
not that the sickness is too great, but that our faith is too small
3. It’s
not that the problem is too big, but that your faith is too small
