FAITH-FILLED WORDS THAT CHANGE PHYSICAL THINGS
The Process Of Faith (Part 6)
Foundation Statement: When a believer has produced the faith of God in his heart, he can speak the Word out of his mouth, and change physical things. Words that are believed and spoken will affect physical things.
Foundation Scripture: Mark 11:23, Luke 17:5, Matthew 17:20
I. The Word of God carries no power when it is spoken by a believer who has
not backed that Word with faith (Romans 1:16)
A. There is divine order in speaking the Word of God, that if you want to speak the
Word of God and see that Word affect physical things, then you first of all have to
speak that Word to set your belief in agreement with that Word (Mark 11:23, Luke
17:5, Matthew 17:20)
B. Your limit in life for what you can do is the Power of God (Romans 1:16)
1. Whatever the power of God can do you can do
2. You’re not limited to your ability, your only limit is God’s ability
C. Faith activates the power that is on the Word of God (Romans 1:16)
1. The Word of God is the power of God to the people who believe it
a. When I believe, the power of God’s Word is activated and then when I speak
faith filled words out my mouth they will have the power to change the situation
b. EXAMPLE: Faith is like the key that you turn to activate the engine of your
car. You can have the fastest, most powerful, prettiest, toughest automobile
on the planet, but if you don’t have the key, the power of that automobile will
not benefit you.
c. Without faith to turn the power of this Word on you can’t experience the
power of that Word
2. When the Word of God is not mixed with faith, it produces no profit (Hebrews
4:2)
a. Faith makes the Word of God profitable
b. EXAMPLE: That concrete mix has no value if you don’t add water. But if you
do add water you can build the foundation to houses, bridges, buildings and
many other things, but you can only build those things when you add water to
the concrete mix.
c. If you aren’t profiting off of the Word of God, then I have to question whether
or not you really believe it.
D. The qualifier for your words to be spoken with power is that you have to believe
that you have what you say
1. Many people have spoken words without qualifying them with faith and then
when those words didn’t come to pass, they got discouraged
2. To speak the Word without faith is to speak the Word without the necessary
equipment to activate the power and see results in your life
3. When you believe the Word of God, the power of that Word has been turned on
and then when you speak that Word out of your mouth the power on that Word
will affect physical things
4. When you’ve taken the time to set your belief in your heart by confessing the
Word, then that faith that you have in your heart will activate the power that’s on
the Word of God
II. The law of confession says that what you believe in your heart and say out your
mouth is exactly what you will have in life (Mark 11:23)
A. Words that are believed and spoken will affect physical things (Luke 17:5, Mark
11:23, Matthew 17:20)
1. According to Jesus our words can and will affect physical things when we
believe them and speak them (Mark 4:35, Mark 11:12, Joshua 10:12-14)
a. That mountain was a physical thing, that fig tree was a physical thing
b. What do you know on this Earth that is powerful enough to stop a storm…Nothing, but words can stop it
2. There is no task that believing and speaking cannot accomplish (Matthew 17:20)
a. Whatsoever he says; if believes sickness and says sickness then he’ll have
sickness; if he believes and says prosperity he’ll have prosperity
B. This is the law that you used to change your eternal destiny and if it was powerful enough to change you for eternity, then why can’t it change you for your life on the Earth (Romans 10:8-10)
1. You don’t have to pray to get saved; you just have to believe and speak
2. What you believe and speak will produce in your life
C. The principles of the law of confession
1. You have to say
2. You have to believe you have what you say
3. You will have what you say
D. A law is something that will produce a predictable outcome when the principles of that law are applied
1. This is a law because Jesus said if you do this, then this will happen; that’s a law
a. If you get involved in these principles then you will get this result every time
2. A law is something that will work the same way all of the time, no matter what,
every time that you apply the principles of that law
a. That means that if you believe and speak, then you will have what you say
every time all the time no matter what
3. The law of confession will work every time no matter what
III. Believing and speaking will override natural law
A. David (1 Samuel 17)
1. David didn’t defeat Goliath with his slingshot and with his rocks; he defeated
Goliath with his believing and speaking
B. Three Hebrew Children (Daniel 3)
1. They believed and they spoke and what they believed and what they spoke came to pass in their lives
C. Woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:28)
1. She kept saying what she believed and what she said is what she got
2. I’m not sure she believed it at first, but she kept saying it and all of a sudden faith was produced in her heart and she had what she said
D. Jairus (Mark 5:22)
1. Jairus believed and he said if you touch her she’ll live and that’s what he got
2. The opportunity came to say something else when the evil report came, but he
exercised the vocabulary of silence and didn’t say anything to negate his
confession and he had what he said
E. Joshua (Joshua 10:12-14)
1. God heard and he did the voice of a man
2. Joshua believed and he spoke and he had what he said
F. Jesus
1. Mark 4:35 – Jesus didn’t pray to God; he spoke to the storm and he had what he
said
2. Mark 11:12 – The fig tree
G. Abraham (Romans 4:17)
1. He didn’t call what was, he called what wasn’t and he called it into being
H. The Psalmist (Psalm 91)
1. I will say of the Lord
IV. We are spirit beings and when we speak words of faith from our spirits we can
change physical things
A. Everything physical you can see was created by God who is a spirit that you can’t see (Hebrews 11:3)
1. God who is a spirit created all matter by speaking words out of his mouth (John 4:24, Genesis 1)
2. Physical things that we can see were made from a Spirit Being who we can’t see
3. A spirit made all matter so all matter is subject to a spirit
B. A spirit gave birth to the physical
1. The creator is never subject to the creation
2. Everything physical is subject to the spiritual
C. God created man in His own image
1. God created man in the image of Himself
a. Genesis 2:7 – Man became a speaking spirit like God
2. Man is a spirit being, who has a soul, and lives in a body
a. We are spirit beings created in God’s class
3. Every seed produces after its own kind
a. 1 John 5:1 – If you believe that Jesus is the Christ then you are born of God
i. If you’re born of God who is a spirit then you are a spirit being
ii. When he wanted to create flesh, he used dirt, and then the second time he
had to have a human being (Mary) to do it
b. When you got born of God, you were birthed in God’s class
i. When two cows get together they don’t create a duck
ii. Only in church could you get somebody to believe that God birthed an unworthy, unrighteous, defeated, sick, poor, and weak being
D. We are spirit beings created in God’s class and physical things are subject to us
1. I am a spirit being created in the image of God I am not subject to the physical
world, but the physical world is subject to me when I operate out of my spirit in
faith
V. The Heart – Mouth Connection: Whatever is in your mouth is going to produce
an image in your heart, and whatever image you have in your heart is going to
come out of your mouth in words and create your life
A. Whatever you have in your heart has been coming out of your mouth and determining your life (Matthew 12:33-37)
1. You are bringing forth the things in your life by the words that you believe in your
heart and speak out of your mouth
2. The words that are coming out of your mouth are a result of what you’ve
deposited in your heart (Matthew 12:34)
a. You’re saying it because you believe it and according to Jesus what you
believe and what you say will determine what you bring forth in life
3. By your words you are made right or freed, and by your words you can be condemned
